All was well until 3 Nov, since then I have been unable to import the images on my flash card. The images are visible in the d drive as are the folders they are in. However when I select import, the D drive and folders are there but no images.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Yes I see what you mean, the D drive is in my library and I am working on them from there as opposed to having imported them. Believe me I am also confused, not sure of where to go from here, any ideas are welcome.
Thanks.

I'm afraid this doesn't help me understand anything. "The D drive is in my library" — do you mean you have imported the entire D drive into LrC or do you mean something else? But then you say "... as opposed to having imported them", you have to import the ph

Please start with some basic information. What software are you using? What version NUMBER (we need version NUMBER and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date").
Please show us a screen capture of the problem. Use the "Insert Photos" icon to include your screen capture in your reply. Please do NOT attach files.

Hi @adrianc12334054! Thank you for sharing the screenshot! Could you also share a screenshot of the right panel inside Import (File Handling section), and what format of files are you trying to import?
In the File Handling section, if you have "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates" checked. LrC assumes that these files are already imported, hence it doesn't show them.
Additionally, could you check what happens when you copy the folders/ images on your flash card to your system drive and then attempt to import? Are you able to import them this way?
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Noel, I made a new folder on my desktop and tried to import from it, but again there are no files visible in the folder, the files are CR2 files. Here is a screenshot of the right hand panel. In the past I have transferred the images with no problem, and they have transferred to this location
I transferred using the method in your tutorial, but the screen has now changed and I see Import,AssistedCulling,Add,
Here is the file handling screen:

I'm really confused by your description and screen captures. There are photos in your LrC library as shown in the first screen capture. Are you trying to import the files again? You should not do this, importing a second time is not a good idea, something that should be avoided.
Please explain/clarify this.

But then you say "... as opposed to having imported them", you have to import the photos to be in your library, what does all of this mean?
In your second screen capture (the screen capture of the Import dialog box), you have selected COPY and the Destination Panel on the right is collapsed. Click on the triangle to the right of "Destination" and make sure that the Destination folder shown there is not blank and is a folder that actually exists.
In a later screen capture you show a screen capture of the Import Dialog box when you are trying to ADD the photos, and the Destination Panel does not appear. Click on copy (yes I know you want to ADD but click on Copy anyway) then right click on File Handling, select Destination and then make sure the folder shown in there is a folder that actually exists. Then click back on Add.

I have now figured out the issue and corrected it, removed the images from Lr and then reimported to the correct location.

And if you do it wrong, you will lose all edits and all user-provided metadata. I don't consider this a solution.
