I have just finished relocating files/photos from various drives to a new NAS. I moved the files within Lightroom. Almost all files have been moved without issues however, I do have a handful that indicate the file name already exists within the location and therefore won't move the file. Upon reviewing I verify the file does not exist at the location, however, each attempt to move I receive the message the file exists.
Anyone else receive this message? What causes the message? Suggestions to resolve the issue?
Thanks

How did you verify that the file does not exist at the location? In Lightroom? You must verify it in the MacOS Finder. Normally this message comes because the file does exist. Lightroom doesn't know it because it's a copy that was never imported, but it is there and that is the reason why MacOS stops Lightroom from moving another file with the exact same name into that folder.
