I cannot publish any more (windows), the error message is not very helpful! Newest version of LR & plugin.

Unfortunately, you are correct that the error message is not helpful. In addition, it is also unfortunate for us that Jeffrey Friedl has retired and as far as I can tell (and I hope I am wrong), he doesn't spend much time fixing bugs and he doesn't spend much time responding to questions. Nevertheless, I think your only hope is to leave a message at Jeffrey's website for this plug-in.

Hi @thomaskraichtal

Thanks for posting and for sharing the screenshot. Since Tree Publisher is a third-party plugin, Lightroom Classic itself may be functioning as expected, and our troubleshooting scope may be limited. That said, we’ll need a bit more information to better understand what’s failing and why. Could you please share the following details?

  • Lightroom Classic version (Help > About Lightroom Classic)

  • Tree Publisher plugin version

  • Did this issue begin after a recent Lightroom Classic or Windows update?

  • Have you tried publishing from a new test catalog, or does the issue occur only in this catalog?

A couple of quick checks you can also try meanwhile:

  • Restart Lightroom Classic and run it once as Administrator

  • Temporarily disable other third-party plugins to rule out conflicts

  • Check if the plugin has the required folder/file permissions on Windows

Once we have these details, we can guide you better.

Regards,

Srishti
