Hello everyone.
I have a questions to estimate how many people were cheated by Adobe That brought perpetual license.?
Now the clever Adobe has turned off activation servers that people who legally bought for lifetime products paying big money. For 1/2 year. But for a whole life. And huge money. Are now cheated and cannot use their products they bought.
I talked with Adobe on their chat on the web page and they promised me two times to write me back. They never wrote me back.
I would like to make a sue against them because they cheated hundreds of thousand people who bought lifetime products

As long as the computer on which Photoshop is installed with a perpetual license keeps working and one does not upgrade the OS or other components beyond that Photoshop version’s capabilities one can keep using it.

during the purchase it was not written that the program will only work on this version of Windows and does not allow reinstalling the system and reinstalling PrestaShop.
In the agreement I signed the program should be ready to work without special conditions. There was nothing about these conditions in the agreement. Additionally, the program was branded as LIFETIME LICENCE and based on this information I decided to buy it. If it were not for the LIFETIME inscription I would not have made the purchase. For me it changes a lot.
Generally, in the European Union such fun with consumers can end with a large financial penalty or even imprisonment for fraud. I will promote the problem until Adobe understands that you cannot cheat. I would like Adobe to have its own morality before the verdict of the European Commission court

That a program cannot offer infinte forward OS-compatibility does not seem to need mentioning.
What were the OS versions mentioned in the System Requirements of the Photoshop version you are talking about?

As with everything else, it's the lifetime of the product, not the lifetime of the user.
Fifteen years is a pretty good return on investment. If you buy a computer, do you expect that to be fully functional and up to date for fifteen years? Of course not. If it broke down after, say, ten years, you wouldn't sue the company that made it, would you?
There's a kind of mental trap here that many fall into. Since it's not a physical thing, it's expected to "last forever". But it doesn't, because it gets outdated and obsolete. The rest of the world has moved on.

of course. no one can force us to buy or use a specific thing.

D Fosse - I understand that it makes no difference to you whether you can use the thing you bought or not. However, not everyone is indifferent to their own property. People usually take care of and are interested in their things and do not spend money left and right. We cannot take you for an object of a standard person.
the fact that you do not worry about your things, you do not expect them to work if you bought them, does not mean that a normal person thinks like that.
What is this ridiculous explanation that something is some years old and may not work anymore? The reason you give to kill the disappointment with the Adobe product is subjective - and I used something for 10 years, it may not work.
The objective basis for whether it should work or not is the law.
If someone sells you a LIFETIME product - you buy the product in accordance with the information for life.
And here, as josantgomez said - I do not expect updates, I do not expect news - I simply expect what I bought - what I paid for consciously when making the decision to buy - and one of the main features of it was a lifetime license.
I can win against Adobe in any court.
Before the case goes there, I would like more users to join, then there will be a class action lawsuit.
More people talking about the problem also means greater awareness and building some kind of ethics in Adobe.
Adobe, are you a drug cartel or do you obey the law?
Adobe, I am glad that you are starting to clean up the problem and offer me 6 months of free use, but I do not want 6 months - I simply want what I paid for - Prestashop cs5 LIFETIME!!!
My old beloved Pchotoshop CS5 and I don't want anything more.
However, you can't rob me of what's mine in order to persuade me to buy another product.
