When i try to use the clone stamp after updating the app, it stopped working. It keeps saying that i did not define the area that i want the clone when i already did that. And when it will define the area it keeps lagging and not showing anything. Or it will not define a new area.
First i tought it might have been my Wacom ExpressKey remote, so i tried the alt-key on my keyboard, but that also didn't work. And i also tested if it was my Wacom tablet, but it is also not wroking on my main screen/pc. Also when resizing the point with "[" and "] " this is also lagging/not responding.
I already restarted photoshop, my pc/Wacom and even resetted my entire photoshop, prefferences and tools.
Is someone experiencing the same issues or is there something to fix this? I need to finish a project and the only tool i need is the clone stamp and that is not working. So please help me with this if you can.
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! We're sorry to hear about your issue. Your system info would be really helpful in assessing the problem. Please share it as asked above.
In the meantime, you can try these to fix your issue:
1) While the Clone Stamp tool is selected, go to the menu Window > Clone Source to open the panel. In this panel, uncheck "Show Overlay" and try again.
2) Turn off the GPU. In Photoshop, go to Edit > Preferences > Performance and uncheck "Use Graphics Processor".

@Lieneke1304 the clone stamp tool is working fine for me with Photoshop version 27.1 on Windows 11 and 10, since a preferences and tools reset hasn't work, try reverting back to version 27.0 to see if that resolves the issue

Reverting back to the old version 27.0 did work, but it is still lagging/ responding really slow. Before when i defined the area i want to clone, i would be able to see what i was doing. now i can only see the result after loading.
Is there anything else i can try than increasing the Ram to 85%, because i have already done that.

3) For the bracket keys not working to resize: Check your Windows Taskbar to see if your language has changed to another layout. Switch it back to your primary US/UK keyboard.
Hope this helps!

Hi and thanks turning of the GPU and overlay did the job.
