Community Beginner ,
Dec 23, 2025 Dec 23, 2025

I have a problem, when I export the image in photoshop the details appear in this way as shown in the video, but they're supposed to appear normally as in the screenshot.

What's the solution?

Hey, @ART SOMETHI. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. This is a common workflow output called color banding.

Please check these previous threads for various techniques to avoid this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/horrible-gradient-banding/m-p/1313843...

Thanks!

Hey @Sameer K Thank you for your reply. I have reviewed the previous threads you mentioned, but I couldn't clearly relate the suggested sollutions to my specific issue. Could you please clarify which exact setting or adjustment I should change to fix the color banding in my case?

Hi @ART SOMETHI,

Here are the specific things to check and change:

• Document bit depth
Go to Image > Mode and make sure the document is set to 16 Bits/Channel while editing. Working in 8-bit increases the chance of banding, especially on gradients and fabric shading.

• Export settings
When exporting, use Export As > PNG
– Keep Transparency enabled if required
– Make sure Small file size (8-bit) is not enabled

• Add subtle dithering (recommended for fabric/gradients)
For smooth gradients or textured fabric, add a very small amount of noise before export:
– Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise
– Amount: 0.5–1%
– Distribution: Gaussian
– Enable Monochromatic

This helps break up visible banding without affecting image detail.

As a quick sanity check, you can also import & export another image of the same resolution without heavy fabric gradients to confirm the behavior is image-specific.

If the issue persists after these steps, please let us know the exact export format and bit depth used, and we can investigate further.

Best regards,
Anshul Saini
