I’m planning to disable Windows Ink in Photoshop using the well-known PSUserConfig setting.
This won’t break with future updates, right?
Is anyone actively using this method?

@yaşarv94823314 I read somewhere here or another blog that it might be used for other things such as brushes to register pressure correctly. Instead, I would turn off the Windows Ink when using it in the settings options—you could disable it altogther, but, it would and could open another can of worms when you update it?

I think i can disable it by psuserconfig file. But when its active ( ink ) it makes brushes laggy i think

@yaşarv94823314 the psuserconfig file is stored in the user profile "Adobe Photoshop 2026 Settings" folder, so updating Photoshop will not affect the file, however if you install a new version of Photoshop you will have to copy the file into the user profile for that version new version.
