I’d like to share a feature request regarding the timeline behavior during playback in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Currently, when the video is playing, the playhead (timeline cursor) remains locked to the visible area of the timeline. This prevents me from zooming out or navigating to other parts of the timeline while playback continues. As soon as I try to move away or zoom to a different section, the viewport is forced back to the playhead position.
In future versions, I would love to see more flexibility:
Please allow the video to keep playing while the user freely zooms or scrolls to other areas of the timeline, without the playhead forcibly re-centering the view.
This would greatly improve the editing workflow, especially when reviewing one part of a sequence while preparing edits or checking references elsewhere in the timeline.
Thank you for continually improving Premiere Pro!
