I have Version 1.5.2, no ability to reverse a clip. I can change the speed. Trial version, I won't be buying, iMovie has more usability and features for free!

This would be a great, simple feature to add. Many apps (phone) and desktop editing applications do this, of course. But, nice to work under one roof. Thanks!

I used a work around! I used QuickTime Player to trim the portion of my video that needed to be reversed and exported it as a new video using the 4K setting. Then I imported that clip into iMovie. Once in iMovie, I went to the speed icon, and selected reverse. I then saved that clip as a new video file at the highest setting. Lastly, I dragged that new video file into my Premiere Rush project right where I needed it. And, ta-da! Reversed clip.

Thank you for your comment,

I'm sure you agree it's a pity one has to revert to workarounds.

Are you listening Adobe?

I do 99% of my work in different Adobe programs.

I like to use Ru rather than Premier Pro for smaller, simpler, quicker, edits.

And not having that option forces me into Premier. Overkill, if not for the reverse option.

It's a shame that Adobe doesn't give us such an important tool as it is, the "Reverse speed" function. Hope they consider making it possible for us very soon.

Well, we sort of got it.

Rush has been rolled into Creative Cloud Express and there is a web based option to reverse a clip that can then be imported into Rush.

It's simply embarrassing to see that well over 2 years after this thread and despite nearly 2k votes on Adobe User Voice this feature still doesn't exist. How can Adobe still be behind the likes of Snapchat that have been rocking functionally like this for years? What are we even paying for?

Sorry about that. I've got a workaround. You can now reverse a clip in Adobe Express Quick Actions. Then, import that clip into Rush. Quick Actions are also in the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Adobe PR Rush does not have that function. Instead you can use adobe express to reverse the video and then import it to rush. I had the same problem and "fix it" that way... hope its works for you

Thanks for sharing that solution.

It solves the problem but also shows how deeply flawed this app is.

Why should anyone need to go to another app that's made by the same company simply to reverse a video?

Reverse is not some high end function or some blue sky concept.
There are free video apps that do all these things

It's not 2010.

Adobe should scrap Rush all together, make a new app, or update Rush to the very basic standards of common free video apps.

Again great answer! We all thank you! But it's awful that it needs to be done and isn't an existing feature in "Rush"..( btw that may be the wrong name fo  this app )

I've checked  the desktop version and on my iPhone  and do not see this feature. I've also checked the new features released in '19 & '20 and this documentation: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/search-results.html?q=reverse+video+in+rush&facets_fields=%5B%22applicabl...

While an option to reverse video is still not available directly in Premiere Rush, it can now be done through Creative Cloud Express' Reverse Video.

Hi Thans,

Sorry, this is not an option in Rush. What I usually suggest is to import the clip into Adobe Express where you can reverse the speed. Then export it. Import the resulting clip into Rush. Rather a workaround, but it can work. Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks,
Kevin

We all know that currently Rush DOES NOT support this IMPORTANT feature of Reverse, in clip speed tab.

Reversing footage its a basic feature that every video editing software must HAVE, such as IMovie..

So @Adobe what are you waiting for?

We will wait it in the next update!🙌🏼

right guys?

Help me out to spread this thread to their support.

Thanks

Samuel Riggio

This is an elementary feature included in even the most basic of apps and programs. This shouldn't be a difficult feature to implement from the beginning. I'm paying full price for a subscription for CC. I edit a lot of videos with premiere and I use adobe rush for quick on the go edits. Please include this simple yet essential feature Adobe.

Agree with this posted request. I haven't made much use of Rush, but now have a pile of clips that I need to rush out the door with minimal processing. But not so fast...I now need to open Premiere to exercise the simple reverse function that Rush doesn't include. Why bother with Rush if I need to step out of the app to make this edit? Adobe--please do the right thing and pop this feature into the mix.
