Hi, rookie graphic designer here.

So I made this cool pattern and I wanted to send it to the Stock, but I'm not sure which way of saving it is preferable.

Should my AI file include only the part of pattern that repeats itself or do I have to display it in shape filled with the pattern?

There is no right or wrong answer here. What do you think makes the image more commercially viable? If you were a stock customer looking to buy the image, how would you prefer it to be? Whatever the answer, that's how you should save it.

Good luck!
