Bonjour 👋
Est-ce-que Adobe XD est devenu payant après la dernière mise à jour v50.0.12 ?
Hi All,
Thank you so much for your patience. Below is the update that I got from the team.
Adobe has acknowledged an issue with the version 50 update of XD, and hopefully they will address it.
But importantly, the Starter version of XD has not gone away, and there seems to be a straightforward workaround to access it (even in version 50)...
Here it is: Instead of launching XD from the Creative Cloud Desktop app, try starting it from elsewhere – namely, from the Windows Start menu or from the macOS Dock/Launchpad.
Then choose the "Exit XD" button, but XD Starter should stil

I have this very same issue. There hasn't been any mention of removing the free plan, but it has disappeared from my account after the latest update.

I noticed, XD will just be available for free , as starter plan , if you install the Cloud app, and cancel any paid plan.

Hi, have you tried logging out and back in your Adobe account?

Yes, i signed out from account and in the Creative Cloud Desktop app. Still it says i have 7 day trial.
Before that, i've used the free starter plan for about 3 years i think. But as of this mornings adobe XD update to v.50, it doesn't seem to be free anymore.
The link on this page that shows "What has changed with XD starter plan" seems to state that it would still be free.

Hi, Adobe XD no longer has a free plan for some time. There are two plans currently available. I recommend you take a look at this page: https://www.adobe.com/products/xd/pricing/individual.html

Funny you say that. They still advertise their Starter plan. Until today I was able to use XD for free with that exact Starter plan. Is there any indication that they removed that plan?

It is most likely an old page. The only two plans currently available are the ones you find on the page I shared earlier.

Can you point me to a place where they announced that the free Starter plan no longer exists? I find no update or other notices, and obviously, I am not the only one who is just now no longer able to use their free plan starting with version 50, which just got released.

@ridala_on That very page is showing me the following, still suggesting there is a free Starter plan (no subscription needed). Nothing changed since I pointed to the URL yesterday.

(Same if I am not logged in or accessing my country’s version of the page above.)

You see on your screenshot, there are free trial not stared plan, the difference btw them, is free trial is use for 7 days and stared plan give free software with some paid features. I just check my teamwork and same thing, its give them 7 days of free trial.

You mean the breadcrumb above, it indicates a trial in its wording.
But if you have a look at the rest of the page—the big text below clearly states there is a free Starter plan (not a free trial) with a 'limited set of XD's most powerful features', and that 'no subscription [is] required'. The trial has the full features for a limited time, so that also makes no sense.
The free Starter plan, as advertised with limited features, has existed for many years, and there was no announcement that this plan has been terminated from Adobe's side, on any of the changelog and what's-new posts for XD 50. So the linked page does not announce that the Starter plan has been removed, it still shows it as existing.

All plans bring the free starter version of Adobe XD to any user. If you pay for e.g. the Photography plan 9,99$/month you are able to use the free starter version of XD since 2016. If they have removed it - they did it overnight with the last update yesterday 12th of April 2022.

Up until recently, maybe a week or two ago, XD was still updating for people who have the free version that was offered. Only this latest update does it now require existing users to buy a subscription to update. I get moving the product to a subscription, however, there should have been some noticed tied to this for existing users at this time since for most of us it came out of left field and my first though was Adobe was having a problem with their update of XD. I thought it was part of the PS/LR subscription I have and did not know it was not a part of that subscription. I think this is a take back for Adobe how to ensure clear messaging in situations like this so we, Adobe customers, are not left confused and have to search for answers.

This is most likely an inadvertent issue with the recent update (version 50) of XD... There is no other indication that anything has changed, and the company has said the free Starter plan is still available:
https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/kb/xd-subscription-options.html
https://www.adobe.com/go/xdstarter
So, what to do?
What happens when you try to start XD outside of the Creative Cloud Desktop app? For example, if you start it from the Windows start menu instead – does XD start then for you?
Alternatively, you can roll back to the previous version 49 of XD by following the directions here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html
Please let us know if that helps, and works around the issue.

Creative Cloud Desktop doesn’t let me update unless I subscribe to a plan. No word from Adobe yet, no update notice or any mention of ceasing the Starter plan. That would certainly have me look out for an alternative if they just ditched the free plan, which was enough for the way I am working.

Today I received the update with 7 days trial version. I was using the free plan for a long time and as of today this message appeared, should I look for other platforms or will Adobe xd continue with a free account?
